NYTT kort, etter mer enn 4 uker ferie fra hobbysakene!!... :))

God morgen, kjære bloggvenner! Etter mer enn 4 uker ferie fra hobbysakene, fikk jeg begynt på et par nye kort i går kveld. :) Her er et ferdig resultat. Dette kortet var egtl. planlagt å ikke ha så mange elementer, men dere vet hvordan det er... - og det ble som det ble, til slutt!..

Hi, dear blogging friends! After more than 4 weeks time off from my hobby stuff, I got started on some new cards last night. :) Here's one finished result. This card turned out not as simple as I planned it, in the first place - but, well, you know what it's like!..

Det søte motivet, "Dotty", er fra Prairie Fairy Designs, som jeg er så heldig å være design team medlem for. Dette er et forhånds-fargelagt motiv, så jeg skal ikke skryte på meg for den utrolig flotte finishen! *ler* Den skal den talentfulle designeren selv, Roberta Laliberte, ha æren for! :)) Slike ferdig fargelagte motiver er flotte å ha, dersom du vil lage et kort raskt! De egner seg dessuten utmerket til digitale scrapbook layouter! :)

Jeg har printet motivet på hvit Bazzill Canvas. Jeg synes det gir en sånn fin effekt med bildet på den ru overflaten på kartongen. Mønsterarkene er fra MME: "Bella "Adorable" Flowers/Light Blue", "Bella "Pretty Little Girl" Mini Harlequin/Brown" and "Surprise "Summer" Stripes/Light Pink Paper". Tekststemplene er fra hhv Melissa Frances ("You're the best") og 7gypsies ("Love and adore"). De søte blondedetaljene - hjertet og de blå blomstene i midten av de større blomstene, har jeg shoppet hos Linda, i hennes butikk: the funkie junkie's etsy store. :)

This fab, cute image, "Dotty", is from Prairie Fairy Designs, which I'm so lucky to be a DT member for. This is a precolored image, so I can't brag about the wonderful coloring finish to it! *LOL* All cred goes to talented Roberta Liberte! :)) Precolored images are fab, when you want to make a card in less time than if you should have been doing the work of coloring in yourself! Besides, they're fab for digital scrapbooking layouts, too! :)

I printed the image on white Bazzill Canvas. I find it gives a great effect. The design papers are from MME: "Bella "Adorable" Flowers/Light Blue", "Bella "Pretty Little Girl" Mini Harlequin/Brown" and "Surprise "Summer" Stripes/Light Pink Paper". Sentiment stamps from Melissa Frances ("You're the best") og 7gypsies ("Love and adore"). I added up some lovely lace details which I ordered from Linda, and her the funkie junkie's etsy store.

Innsiden er holdt enkel, og her er masse plass til å skrive hva man vil på! :)

The inside is kept simple, with lots of writing space! :)

Fairy Fun Fridays #56 - Swirls and Pearls

July 1st already, yes - a new month is upon us -

and as I already told you: I just love that it's summertime! :)))

This is my second blog post for today!

We have a new challenge for you at the Fairy Fun Fridays challenge blog today! To enter - which we would love to see you do - you must stick to the theme, which is "Pearls and Swirls"!! A FAB theme, if you ask me - this could result in many elegant creations - I'm sure you'll all come up with something good, whatever style you choose for your cards within this theme! This time, I chose this dress image called "Hang in there", from Prairy Fairy Designs. DPs from 3ndypapir.no and Maja Design. Sentiment from Norsk Stempelblad - it's a birthday greeting. Pink lace from kuttut.com, Prima bling swirls that have been hidden away for some time(!), Kaisercraft (light green) pearls - and I used Spellbinders dies.

CLP sketch challenge #38

Hi! Can you believe it!! July already! I just looooove summer and am spending as much time as I can outdoors in the summer months. As years go by, I seem to get the feel they pass faster, as I grow older...

The best thing about summer - well, ONE of the best thing about summer, for me, are strawberries! :) I have ALWAYS loved strawberries. NO Summer without these delicious, sweet berries! Yum, yum! :)

Now, onto my card made after the CLP sketch for July: It came out vintage for me this time. I loved making this card! It was on the evening on May 2nd I put it together, with many good thoughts in mind after a sunny, sunny day in spring! B-) I used some beautiful papers from Pion Design, Karen Marie Klip butterflies, lace from Panduro, flower ribbon bought at Kremmerhuset (a local shop) and paper roses from Kort og Godt. I have used a Martha Stewart punch and a BossKut die, too. Plus; the brads and the satin ribbon - don't know where I got these from. These brads have been lying around here almost for ages. LOL

Fairy Fun Fridays #55 - "Wedding"

It's Friday! Yay! And WOOHOOOO - my son has his last day at school before summer today! B-)

It's time for a new challenge with us, the "fairies" at the Fairy Fun Fridays challenge blog! The theme for the next two weeks is WEDDING. Now, isn't that a fab challenge now when we have summer and many happy couples get married in the summer heat?!! I think it's just wonderful! Ink up your wedding themed stamps - or warm up your printer and get ready those digi images of yours suitable for this challenge! We'd love to see your entries!! :))) I'm a bit early posting this on my blog, wait until 17 pm Norwegian time and the challenge will be up on the challenge blog, too!

I have used the Prairie Fairy Designs digi image called "Fairy Love" on my wedding themed DT card. I've coloured with PoMarkers. :) I chose to go for peach coloured roses for a change! LOL - I usually do these roses on this image in red or pink, but this DP from Graphic 45 called for peach coloured ones! Sentiment from Stempelglede - translated from Norwegian: "To bride and groom", Karen Marie klip butterflies, charm from kuttut.com. I used a Spellbinders die to frame the sentiment and the image of the beautiful fairies. :)

Prairie Fairy Fridays #54: Summer Fun!

With June 3rd, we have a new challenge ready for you at the FAIRY FUN FRIDAYS challenge blog! The theme for the next two weeks, is: Summer Fun! What a fab challenge, don't you agree??!!! B-)))Remember; you do not have to use a Prarie Fairy Designs image to enter!!! Use whatever you have of adorable, fun, cool, beautiful, etc...images that can match for this theme!!!! I'm a bit early posting this.. - wait about 10 hours and the post will be up on the FFF blog, too!... :)

My DT card is made with the wonderful Sugarplum Fairies from Prairie Fairy Designs. I've coloured these beauties with ProMarkers. I don't seem to recall the producer name of the design paper when writing this. I made this card about a month ago. In fact, all DT cards for the summer 2011, for both DTs I'm on, were finished before May 14th. :) The reason is I'm moving during the summer and I will be preoccupied in many ways. It always feels great to be ahead with DT projects! Well, more about my card: Bling swirls from Prima, ribbon from Kort og Godt, charm from kuttut.com - and I've used Spellbinders dies - Circles and Scallop Circles + a Martha Stewart edge punch.

Temperatures are getting better and soon it will be Summer Holiday - my son actually finish school at June 17th - that's when the next FairyFun Fridays challenge is revealed! I had such a good time making this card! :) This month's sponsor is by the way Tickled Pink Stamps. I chose to work with this Lil Pinkette image called "Faith". Gurlee Girl card

Hi again! I've made a Gurlee Girl card this time, with the same beautiful K and Company design paper as used on the confirmand card in my previous blog post. :)

This sweet Gurlee Girl stamp is called "Blossom Fairy Cammy". There's a butterfly in her hand, yes. :)

The Gurlee Girl Craft Store is emptied for these adorable clear stamps, for now. But, sure - Chelsea will update the store with news on these cutie pies! Be patient!! :)

I have coloured sweet Cammy with distress inks. This turned out to be a quite CAS (Clean And Simple) card, as I think the beautiful DP doesn't need any embellishment adds! A touch of Stickles glitter is enough, if you ask me! :) Sentiment stamp from Stempelglede. This card is suitable as a card for a girl confirmand, with this sentiment. Check out the English sentiment on this on the site linked - the stamp set is called "Just a note".

Konfirmasjonskort til jente - Card for a girl confirmand

Her er et konfirmasjonskort jeg fikk laget i går. Det er til min stesøsters eldste datter, som konfirmeres 29. mai. Motivet fra Sweet Pea Stamps er malt med distressfarger. Tekst- og tallstempler fra Ladybug and Friends. Det herlige mønsterarket er merket K & Company. Jeg synes det passer så godt til dette Sweet Pea motivet. :)

Here's a card for a girl confirmand. It's to be given to my stepsister's oldest daughter, on May 29th. Image painted with distress inks, sentiment and number stamps from Ladybug and Friends ("almost grown up"). Lovely DP from K and Company.

Her er også Karen Marie klip sommerfugler og QK bokstaver - fra QK alfabetet som går under navn "Eliza". Blondeblomstene har jeg kjøpt i Linda Coughlins Etsy store. Brunt lissebånd er også fra Kort og Godt, jeg kjøpte det derfra for flere år siden. Spellbinders dies er brukt til å ramme inn motivet. Kortet måler forresten 21,5 x 15 cm og går fint inn i en C5 konvolutt. :)

Prairie Fairy Fridays #53: More than one fold.

Wow, it's Friday again! And I'm finally getting better, after being down with fever the past two days. I caught a cold after our National day, which was quite chilly in Tromsø - but without rain, luckily! :) I also watched my son play his first football match for the season, on May 16th; the day before our National day - and I turned cold that day, too... - I just hadn't put on warm enough clothes in the windy weather, for the hour the match lasted... Just too bad for me... Well, well.... Now, I'm on to get started writing on my next exam assignment, which is to be handed in on June 1st. I will be more busy with this going on - so "excuse me" for not blogging very much these days!.... There will be time enough, later.

Well, onto "today's theme on my blog":

Have fun creating - we'd love to see you enter with your beautiful paper projects! :) The challenge goes live on the FFF challenge blog at 10 am today for you who are from the same area in Canada as Roberta, who runs the challenge. That is 5 pm Norewgian time, but I'm posting two hours in advance.

Now, I must not forget my card! * LOL* : This is an an envelope card, made with a beautiful DP from Prima - and this romantic, beautiful Prairie Fairy Designs image "Fairy Love", which I have coloured with my ProMarkers.

By the way...today I received that Touch Twin Markers prize I won, at the scrapping event here in Tromsø, the last weekend in March!.. I picked them up on the store they arrived to, today - 36 markers, woohooo!! - I'm as excited today about this, as I was on the day I actually won them! :)

Here's the inside of my envelope card. You can tell this is a wedding card, right? Wedding sentiments from Stempelglede. "Happiness is to love and to be loved" and "Faith, Hope and Love". I used another Prima DP for the inner card for writing a personal greeting inside the envelope card. :)

CLP sketch challenge #36 - Midway Reminder

Hi! Today I have this midway reminder post for the CLP Sketch Challenge for May! I have made a card with adorable images from Sugar Nellie. The images are coloured with ProMarkers. Lace from Kort og God, hand dyed seam binding ribbon and pearls from Kaisercraft. All paper edges have been sponge distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink. :)

All sides on this card are decorated. This is not an ordinary 6" x 6" card, as you will see... :

I love this butterfly and flower filled, patterned DP! I found the tutorial for this type of card in the Norwegian magazine Ett Trykk - some time ago. Thank you, Kirsten for helping me out on where to find the tutorial! :)

Here's another Magnolia card, with Happy Tilda. I adore this image. It's so lively and joyful - a happy Tilda indeed! :) This is made after the sketch for May at the Magnolialicious challenge blog. Clic to enlarge photo - for a better view! :)

Ab imo pectore - Magnolia card

Hi! There have been problems with blogger since yesterday, but now - at last - it seems to be back to normal again here. The problems with blogger deleted an edit I had done, adding up a new CLP DT badge in the sidebar, yesterday evening. I had to do the editing and adding up the badge over again, today, since it wasn't restored. I hope it stays there now, the new DT badge and all other changes made! LOL - and this blog post, too!..... LOL

I have made a card with a Tilda image coloured with distress inks. Papers from prima and Maja Design. Sentiment on the Maja Design paper "Ab imo pectore" is Latin and means: "From the bottom of the chest" - "From the heart". Sentiment (stamped; Heartfelt Designs/Papir i Hjertet) up in the left corner, goes something like this: "You got to know where you're heading/going, to get tailwind". Lace from Kort og Godt. Distressed edges; done with edge scraper, Cat's Eye and Distress ink "Walnut Stain". Martha Stewart butterflies and I used the doily lace Martha Stewart punch, too. Kaisercraft bling, seam binding ribbon dyed with distress inks.

I enter this into the Just Magnolia challenge: "Make it lacy", Kort og Godt May 2011 challenge and the challenge at Papirdokkene: Alt er lov.

Gift bag - Poppies and roses ++ :)

I have another DT I also just love being on, and that is the Prairie Fairy Designs team! :)

Today, I found this beautiful image, which is a new release, on Roberta's blog. I just had to make something with it! I'm a papercraft addict, indeed!.... I printed the image on aquarelle paper; Canson 220 g/m2. I coloured it with distress inks - my first try with a digi image and distress inks. And I don't have a laser printer!! Well, you can see my result. I'm quite happy with it, actually. I just had a great time making this. :)

The design paper is a Bo Bunny paper. Roses from Kort og Godt, Seam binding ribbon in two different colours - both lightly coloured here and there with pink distress ink. The roses had a touch of ink, too. The glass pebble embellishment with the woman's face, is a Prima product. The yellow sheer ribbon was bough tin a local store. Distressed edges; I used Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

The image is framed with a Spellbinders frame. I have made my own touch to it, as you can see.

The white flower is a Petaloo product.

And then; just one more photo! :

Simple on the other side. I recycled a paper bag I got in the mail when I ordered something online. It's a solid paper bag, thicker than the ones I usually use for my decorated gift bags :)

I'm sorry the photo comes out blurry in the size shown... If you click it, though, it gets a bit better. :) I have used a Sweet Art Ebony image designed by Elisabeth Bell and coloured it with distress inks. DPs from MME.

I'm waiting for spring in full bloom!! It's such a joy being indoors colouring in images like these, on chilly days with sleet. That's exactly the weather we had, the day I coloured this in.

Kort nummer fire som er det siste jeg fikk laget i går kveld, har også et maskulint preg og er også tenkt at det skal kunne brukes til en konfirmant,- selv om det har engelsk tekst. Brukte to ulike mønsterark her, fra Bo Bunny. Klokkene er klippet ut fra ett ark og limt på det andre arket som er bakgrunnen på kortet. Motivet er fra Paperbag Studios. Syntes det passet godt med noen charms, sommerfugler og en blomst her. Jeg har mer enn gjerne blomster på gutte- og herrekort. LOL Tror f.eks. kanskje ikke sånn ren steampunk stil er helt meg... ;)

Number four is also a masculine card. I used two different DPs here, from Bo Bunny. I don't mind flowers and butterflies on a masculine card. Do you? LOL I don't think I am one hundred per cent comfortable with making steampunk styled cards for example. But I think they're soooo cool - love what some others do create in that kind of cool style!

Just simple, beautiful butterflies

Kort nummer tre jeg fikk laget i går, ble temmelig enkelt, da jeg synes mønsterarket her er så flott i seg selv. Nydelige sommerfugler! Det var bare å ramme dem inn! :) Fint med enkle kort som dette, også. Pynt ble totalt overflødig, rett og slett - synes jeg!

Number three made yesterday is such a simple card! It just had to turn out this way. The DP is so beautiful that I didn't want to ruin it by adding up anything on top of it. I just framed it with Bazzill in different colours, matching the design paper wih the beautiful butterflies. :)

Her kommer et kort jeg fikk laget på den kjempekoselige scrappekvelden jeg hadde sammen med to andre kortlagere/scrappere i går! Takk, Ragnhild og Nina, for hyggelige timer sammen! :)

Til sammen fikk jeg laget 4 kort i går, de vises i 4 ulike blogginnlegg av hensyn til innleveringer til div. utfordringer. Alle 4 kort er laget med diverse nyinnkjøpte mønsterark fra Bo Bunny. Here is one card I made yesterday. I had a pleasant evening scrapping, with friends. Thank you Ragnhild and Nina, for such a great time together around the table with our hobby stuff! I made 4 cards in total yesterday and they will be shown in 4 different posts, because of entries to different challenges. I would hav made all in one post if it hadn't been for the fact I noticed one of the blogs I want to enter cards to, have a policy that you can't enter cards in posts that represent multiple projects.... Fairy Fun Fridays #51; April showers bring May flowers, Midway Reminder!

Hi, blog friends! It's Friday - woohooo! - and time for a midway reminder for the Fairy Fun Fridays challenge #51: April Showers bring May flowers! My card has this gorgeous Prairie Fairy Designs digi image called "Fairy Love". I have coloured it with ProMarkers. The sentiment digi is from TLC Creations.

DP, lace with roses and light green lace from Prima. Dotted sheer ribbon from Kort og Godt? It's been a while since I bought that one! I added some small pearls for the flower centers on the green, flowery lace. The cute butterfly charm is from kuttut.com.
